The quick ways to lose weight are usually unhealthy fad diets where you gain back all the pounds you lost and find yourself back where you start having learned nothing and spent good money on a bad product.
Most of these diets are insanely low in calories which make them unsustainable and they commit cardinal sin number one when it comes to fat loss dieting…not being focussed on helping you lose fat and maintain muscle which is key
if you lose muscle (yes you too ladies!) you’ll just look the same as you do now but weigh less…you still won’t be happy! Quick ways to lose weight doesn’t mean muscle, it means fat!
Resistance training is key to maintaining muscle too so you won’t need to be running to lose weight and wasting your time, you’ll be engaging in resistance training and leaving the diet to help you lose fat.
When you really have no time at all and you need quick ways to lose weight it can be a dangerous situation.
People tend to cut calories too drastically and eat very little, this is the wrong approach. The correct way to do things is to follow an approach that will maintain your lean mass while helping you drop fat.
So which diet plan is best when you need quick ways to lose weight?
#1 – The Rapid Fat Loss Diet
What is it? – A scientific approach to crash dieting that allows you to lose 10-20 pounds in 2 weeks safely.
Who is it for? – Anyone who needs rapid results before an event like a wedding, beach holiday or a party. This isn’t intended to be a long term program but the king of quick ways to lose weight that doesn’t compromise your health.
How hard is it? – When you give yourself such a short period of time to work with you’re going to have to be strict. The Rapid Fat Loss Diet (RFL) is tough but it’s effective.
Do you need to workout? – All good quick ways to lose weight and fat loss programs should get you to maintain muscle and RFL is no different, you get workouts as well as the diet so you know exactly what you need to do. Cardio isn’t required nor is it recommended.

Verdict: The single best and my number one of the quick ways to lose weight fast. No other diet will help you SAFELY drop pounds in as little time or be so complete. Every imaginable question is covered in depth and most importantly there’s a plan to keep the fat off permanently after the diet!

#2 – The Ketogenic Diet Plan
What is it? – Ketogenic dieting involves severely restricting carb intake in order force the body to switch to burning fat for fuel. It’s one of the popular quick ways to lose weight and is most commonly known as The Atkins Diet.
Who is it for? – People who always find themselves hungry while dieting or you crave carbs and sugars and can’t ever seem to lose weight. This is a longer term approach which helps you get over your carb addiction and show you that tasty, fatty cuts of meat aren’t bad for you. Also, whilst calorie counting is always my preference, you can use this diet without counting calories and still get great results.
How hard is it? – If you’ve never tried low carb dieting the first week can be rough as you adapt. Once adapted you’ll find it one of the easiest diets you’ve ever done. Workouts can be tough as you’ve no carbs for energy but once you get used to it you’ll be fine and you’ll always be full up, eating tasty food and burning fat at the same time…what more could you want?
Do you need to workout? – Yes. You cut your carbs through your diet mainly but you also need to burn off the carbs stored in your muscles and liver. Once they’re gone your body turns to your fat stores so workouts are required, cardio is optional.
Does it work? – Yes! I lost 28 pounds in 16 weeks and keto was one of my first successful quick ways to lose weight. See the results for yourself and start planning your ketogenic diet!
Verdict: The Ketogenic diet plan makes number 2 in my list of quick ways to lose weight because it’s not as quick as The Rapid Fat Loss Diet.
Whilst it’s not as quick, it’s far easier to stick with and the food is rich and tasty. A better long term or lifestyle choice than The Rapid Fat Loss Diet and you’ll lose fat effortlessly without ever going hungry.

Before you dive into diets designed to help you get your abs you need to decide if the time is right for you.
Yes, I know you want abs now…but if you’re bodyfat is above 15% (25% for women) right now then these diets aren’t for you. Stick with the more general fat loss diets above and only use these techniques when needed
If you use these techniques to early, a) they won’t work as well and b) you’ll have nowhere to go once you do get your bodyfat down.

Intermittent fasting is big news right now thanks to some pretty amazing before and after transformations doing the rounds.
Even better, people feel liberated by the fact they don’t have to worry about eating every 3 hours or being hungry while dieting…3 big meals per day + infrequent workouts = a great option for busy people.
What is it? – Intermittent fasting is an effective way to get ultra low body fat levels whilst eating big and lifting big, but doing both infrequently.
Only 3 short workouts a week and 2-4 meals per day, all consumed within an 8 hour window (yes, you fast for the other 16 hours).
Who is it for? – Not for beginners or anyone with more than 15% body fat. Better for people with big appetites who like to eat a lot in one sitting rather than those with smaller appetites.
How hard is it? – I found intermittent fasting to be the easiest fat loss diet I ever did, even easier than Ketogenic dieting.
You’re asleep for 8 hours of the 16 hour fast so I only had to get to 1pm each day before I ate and whilst I was hungry to begin with, it soon wore off.
Sometimes it can be a challenge to eat all of your days food in a smaller window and careful management of your macronutrients is needed but once you’re in the swing of things it’s a piece of cake (did I mention you can eat cake?).
Does it work? – Better than any other of the quick ways to lose weight Ive ever tried. I finally got abs and the lowest body fat I’ve ever achieved. I did it in just three 40 minute workouts each week and with no cardio at all!
Verdict: Intermittent fasting is my top choice for getting ripped to the bone lean! No excess cardio, no feeling hungry, no huge committment that takes over your life. One of the very best of the quick ways to lose weight.
Instead an easy way to lose fat by liberating yourself from always planning your next meal and worrying about only eating “clean”. The Diet is simply 2-4 enjoyable (e.g. big!) meals and the workouts are infrequent which make it perfect for busy people.

The Stubborn Fat Loss Solution
What is it? – Another way for natural trainees to get super lean. Of all the quick ways to lose weigh this is the most technical and comprises a diet, workout and cardio strategy to get you in the best condition of your life.
Lyle delves into the science of how to get stubborn fat mobilized so that it can become fatty acids (the state fat must become before it can be burned).
Who is it for? – Not for beginners or anyone with more than 12% body fat (men) or 17% for women. This is an advanced strategy best reserved for competition bodybuilders, physique competitors and fitness models.
It doesn’t mean anyone else can’t use it, just that it’s designed for people who need super low body fat (e.g. under 5%), most people who want abs or a “ripped cover model body” won’t need this program.
How hard is it? – Getting super lean is tough as your body battles against what it perceives to be an unatural state (starvation). It’s tough as the cardio makes you feel nausea but it gets the job done.
Does it work? – Sure does! Hundreds of athletes rely on this system to get crazy lean and they can’t afford for it not to work!
Verdict: My second favourite of the quick ways to lose weight which get you ridicuously lean and only second because intermittent fasting is so easy and the results are comparable. For people not down with the fasting to lose weight thing this is a great alternative. It’s tough but it gets the job done and that’s all that counts!

The HCG Diet
The HCG diet is very popular at the moment and but the truth is it’s built on shaky science and isn’t good value for money.
People are conned into spending a tonne of money on HCG drops as they’re told that’s the “the secret ingredient”.
In reality the fact the dieters are only eating 500 calories a day is the reason they lose weight but that doesn’t make money so know one tells you!
