Deadlifts are one of the single most effective exercises you can do and they are critically important if you want to get results as quickly as possible.
How good would it feel to suddenly see results?
To be stronger than EVERYONE else at your gym!
To workout and enjoy activities outside of the gym without fearing injury?
The deadlift is the answer to your prayers and the solution to your problems!
90% of people at most gyms workout very unproductively, usually doing excessive cardio or ineffective isolation exercises like dumbbell curls and pec flyes.
If they would embrace the compound movements like bench presses, squats and of course, deadlifts they would see substantial progress in a very short space of time.
So why doesn’t everyone deadlift and why don’t personal trainers recommend it?
The Reason The Rest of Your Gym Doesn’t Deadlift
There are two reasons why the deadlift is not something you see practised in most commercial gyms:
1 – Its Hard – Face it, most people go to the gym to put a tick in the box and make themselves feel good. They don’t do any of the hard exercises but they still expect results. NEWS FLASH! Nothing good ever came from taking the easy option! If you insist on sticking to the easy exercises you’ll have to accept that your body will probably look the same in six months as it does now.
2 – Insurance – Gyms need insurance in case you get injured and sue them so for this very reason the workout programs they give you usually focus on machines and easy exercises you can’t hurt yourself doing. I find it outrageous that the very people supposed to guide you towards the most effective workout steer you AWAY from it because they’re scared or being sued!
Their loss is your gain!
Why Should You Deadlift?
There are so many reasons deadlifting should be a focal point of your workouts, here’s a handful of the best reasons:
1. Results vs Time Invested
For busy people, this is one of the big 3 exercises that MUST be included in a workout plan due to the sheer results versus the minimum time investment.
The deadlift works more muscles simultaneously than ANY other movement and heavy deadlifting is a quick way to make your entire body grow!
2. Amazing Strength Gains!
Arguably the best strength training exercise and a true measure of raw power due to the number of muscles worked at the same time. Not only will you get stronger in all of your other movements your grip will also be hugely improved!
3. Injury Prevention
Forget the notion that deadlifting is bad for your back. Bad deadlift form is bad for your back, not the exercise itself.
In fact, the deadlift can help you bullet proof your back as it becomes stronger, it’s even been known for existing back injuries to be cured thanks to the wonders of this exercise.
Your hamstrings also get stronger so the familiar troublesome hamstring pull can be a thing of the past too!
4. Cardiovascular Benefits
Like squats, heavy deadlifting works your cardio systems HARD! After a heavy set (particularly a high rep set) you’ll be bent over huffing and puffing like you’ve just ran a 10k!
5. Limited Space/Equipment Required
Deadlifts are perfect for home gyms or gyms with little equipment as all you need is an Olympic barbell and plates to get started.
6. Better, Faster, Stronger in Your Sport
If you train with weights to supplement a sport then the deadlift is the exercise for you. Deadlifting helps with power and after a few months of deadlifting you’ll see noticeable differences in your performances.
7. Core Stability/Posture
Deadlifting builds core strength like no other exercise as they directly target the muscles responsible for posture and core stability. This is very important if like me you sit at a desk all day and then sit in the car in traffic during your commute!
8. Be Stronger Than Most People in Your Gym!
Nothing gets heads turning like cranking out a set of heavy deadlifts that even -the “big guy’s” dream of being able to lift.
Now you understand WHY deadlifts should be part of your workout plan, you need to know HOW to do deadlifts safely and effectively.
Good deadlift form is easy to learn and critical to staying injury free and reaping the benefits of this amazing exercise.Go there now and make sure you know how to deadlift properly, your back and your progress will thank you for it!
